Financial sector preserves leadership on salary in Armenia
Arminfo. The financial sector preserves leadership on salary in Armenia, which was on average 509.514 drams by 1 Jan 2012 ($1.3 thsd), having grown by 3,1% versus 1 Jan 2011. According to Armenian National Statistics Service, the information and communication sphere occupies the second place by the level of salary - 375.790 drams ($972) - growth by 36,6% versus the same period of 2011. The third is the mining industry - 313.208 drams ($810), growth by 7,4%. The least average salary was fixed in the sphere of culture, rest and entertainment - 82.563 drams ($213), growth by 19,8%. The biggest growth of salary was fixed in the information and communication sphere, and salary dropped most of all in the construction sector - by 13,2% (to 238.911 drams or $618).
As of 1 Jan 2012 in Yerevan the average size of salary was 167.868 drams ($434, growth by 8,2%). The leader is the Center district - 220.791 drams ($571, growth by 13,3%). In the regions the average size of salary was 111.857 drams ($289, growth by 4,8%). The leaders are: Syunik, Kotayk and Armavir regions of Armenia.
In general, the average salary in Armenia dropped by 23% for January 2012, and grew by 7,4% versus Jan 2011 - up to 113052 drams ($292). In particular, in budgetary organizations it was 92.701 drams ($240, growth by 9,9%) and non-budgetary - 137.085 drams ($355, growth by 4,8%).
