Delegation of Central Bank of Armenia to visit Beirut
ArmInfo. A delegation headed by Chairman of the Central Bank of Armenia (CBA) Arthur Javadyan will pay a visit to Beirut on March 29-31, the CBA press service reported.
The CBA delegation will participate in the Armenian-Lebanese forum dedicated to the banking sector of Armenia. Armenian Ambassador-at-large Levon Sargsyan, Armenian Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Lebanon Ashot Kocharyan, the heads of Armenian commercial banks, representatives of the banking and business circles of Lebanon will attend the forum. The forum will cover issues of expansion and stabilization of Armenia's financial system, as well as development of Armenia's banking system.
During his visit, Javadyan will meet with Governor of the Lebanese Central Bank Riad Salameh, Chairman of the Association of Banks in Lebanon Joseph Torbey and with the heads of some Lebanese financial institutions.
To note, Lebanese capital has a big share in the banking system of Armenia: CreditBank S.A.L. has a 69.5% stock in Anelik Bank, and Byblos Bank has a 65% stock in Byblos Bank Armenia.
