Devaluation of dram to US dollar in March 2012 5,6% versus March 2011


Arminfo. The devaluation of the Armenian dram to US dollar in March 2012 was 5,6% versus March 2011. As Armenian National Statistics Service reported, the average account rate amounted to 388,98 AMD/$1, against 368,42 AMD/$1 - in March 2011.

The growth of the consumer prices in March 2012 versus February by 0,1% was accompanies with devaluation of the Armenian dram to US dollar by 0,1%. In Jan-March 2012 against the background of inflation by 2,7% the devaluation of the dram to dollar was by 1,5%. In Jan-March 2011 the inflation was 5,2% and devaluation of dram to dollar was 2,2%, and only in March 2011 when inflation was 0,8% the devaluation of dram to dollar was 0,9%.
