In Jan-Feb 2012 Armenia's negative foreign trade balance totaled $407.9mln
ArmInfo. In Jan-Feb 2012 Armenia's foreign trade totaled $407.9mln or 158.2bln AMD - 11% more than in Jan-Feb 2011.
The National Statistical Service of Armenia reports that in Jan-Feb 2012 the foreign trade turnover (in FOB prices) totaled $778.1mln or 301.8bln AMD: the exports (in FOB prices) made up $185.1mln or 71.8bln AMD (11.6% more than in Jan-Feb 2011), the imports (in CIF prices) - $593mln or 230bln AMD (11.4% more than a year before).
The trade with the EU totaled $210.2mln (27% of the total foreign trade and 8.5% less than in Jan-Feb 2011): the exports made up $73.8mln, the imports - $136.4mln, the negative balance - $62.6mln (12.4% growth).
The trade with the CIS totaled $243.6mln (16.9% more than in Jan-Feb 2011): the exports made up $40.2mln (50.8% growth), the imports - $203.4mln (11.9% growth), the negative balance - $163.2mln (5.2% growth).
The key buyers of Armenian products were Russia (17.2% of the total exports), Germany (9.6%), Iran (9.2%), the Netherlands (8.1%), Bulgaria (7.9%), Spain (6.7%), Canada (6.6%), Belgium (6.5%), the United States (6%) and Georgia (3.9%).
The key suppliers of imported products were Russia (29.2% of the total imports), China (10.8%), Germany (5.6%), Iran (5.5%), the United States (4.7%), Ukraine (4.3%), Turkey (3.9%) and Japan (3.1%).
