In Feb 2012 Armenia's monetary base dropped by 1.6% to $1.4bln
ArmInfo. In Feb 2012 Armenia's monetary base dropped by 1.6% to $1.4bln or 562.9bln AMD. As compared with Feb 2011 it grew by 16.8%.
According to the Central Bank of Armenia, in Feb 2012 the cash outside the CB dropped by 0.1% to 359.8bln AMD. As compared with Feb 2011 it grew by 15.2%.
The share of obligatory AMD reserves in the monetary base made up 27% or 152.2bln AMD (2.3% drop in Feb 2012), that of the obligatory foreign exchange reserves - 7.8% or 43.8bln AMD (9.9% drop).
The foreign reserves totaled 417.9bln AMD - 2.1% growth in Feb 2012 and 1% growth as compared with Feb 2011.
The domestic assets totaled 145bln AMD - 11% less than in Jan 2012, but twice as much as in Feb 2011.
