Money supply in Armenia up 1.6% in February
ArmInfo. Money supply in Armenia grew 1.6% for February 2012 and 24.5% versus February 2011, totaling 1,114 trillion drams ($2.9 billion) as of 1 March 2012.
Preliminary data of the Armenian Central Bank provided to ArmInfo by the National Statistical Service of Armenia say that cash circulated out of the banking system grew 0,2% in Feb 2012, and 15,5% versus Feb 2011, having amounted to 319.5 bln drams as of 1 March 2012. The share of deposits in terms of the Armenian dram in total money supply was 28% or 311.9 billion drams. The share of foreign deposits was 43.3% or 482.2 billion drams. 
External assets were down 14.8% over Feb 2012, almost doubling for a month, and falling by 90% versus Feb 2011. Internal assets grew 2.2% in Feb and by 52.3% versus Feb 2011 to 1.128 trillion drams as of 1 March 2012. In the structure of internal assets, liabilities to the government provide negative 43.3 billion drams (up 22.5% in Feb).  In addition, the share of economy was 1.4 trillion drams growing 3.4% for Feb.  The share of organizations was  809.9 bln drams (growth by 3,5% for Feb), and the share of non-commercial enterprises was  20.7 billion drams (drop 5.5% for Feb).
