CIS Macromonitor expects a gradual rise in economic growth of Armenia to at least 6-7% in 2012-2013

"Given the fact that economy shows a growth of 4-5% under the conditions of investment stagnation, especially, in the construction sector, we expect a gradual rise in economic growth of Armenia to at least 6-7% if there is at least a moderate rise in investment", CIS Macromonitor, a quarterly macroeconomic publication by the Analytic Unit of the Eurasian Development Bank, says about Armenia's outlook for 2012-2013. The source expects 3.1% budget deficit in 2012 and 2.3% GDP in 2013.
The authors of the publication mention that the lowest inflation indices among the CIS countries were observed in Armenia (4.7%) in 2011.
To note, CIS Macromonitor is a quarterly macroeconomic publication by the Analytic Unit of the Eurasian Development Bank.
