AMD loans provided by Armenian banks weekly drop by 2.3%, and USD loans - by 7.7%
ArmInfo. Last week (16 to 22 April 2012) Armenian banks provided loans worth 25 bln AMD (2.3% weekly decline) and $43 mln (4.9% weekly decline), the press service of the Central Bank of Armenia told ArmInfo.
According to the source, over the current week (23-28 April 2012) the banks bought $83.8 mln at the average exchange rate of 391.84 AMD/$1, and sold $101.1 mln at the average exchange rate of 392.84 AMD/$1 in the intrabank currency market (transactions with clients).
Over the same period the banks bought 8.07 mln EUR at the average exchange rate of 515.97 AMD/1 EUR and 615.2 mln RUR at the average exchange rate of 13.23 AMD/1 RUR, and sold 8.5 mln EUR at the average exchange rate of 519.36 AMD/1 EUR and 73.090 mln RUR at the average exchange rate 13.42 AMD/1 RUR.
Currency purchase and sale operations worth $1.7 mln were carried out at the average exchange rate of 392.65 AMD/$1 in the interbank currency market from 23 to 28 April.
Over the given period currency purchase and sale operations worth $13.2 mln were carried out at the average exchange rate of 392.86 AMD/$1 at NASDAQ OMX Armenia; the biggest volume was registered on 25 April ($3.75 mln).
No operations with EUR or RUR were registered in the stock exchange or in the interbank market.
