Number of clients of Armenian banks up 19,7% for a year


Arminfo. As of 1 April 2012 the clients' base of the banking system of Armenia had 1344346 individual and 70006 legal persons. According to the preliminary data of Armenian Central Bank, totally 1414352 clients had 2311619 accounts in the banks of Armenia, 2164339 of which were the accounts of individual persons and 147280 - of legal persons.

The clients base grew by 1,5% or 20733 clients in March 2012. This is by 19,7% or 233.070 clients more versus March 2011. The number of individual persons grew by 20,7% or 230.979 clients, and the number of legal persons just by 3% or 2091 clients. In March 2012 the number of the accounts opened by the legal and individual persons grew by 2% or 45.090 accounts. The number of the accounts of the legal persons grew by 0,9% or 1308, and of individual persons - by 2,06% or 43.782 accounts.
