Money supply in Armenia up 2% to $2.95 bln for April 2012
ArmInfo. Money supply in Armenia was up 2% for April 2012 (by22.7 bln drams) to 1.157 trillion drams ($2.95 bln) as of May 1 2012, Preliminary data of the Armenian Central Bank provided by the National Statistical Service of Armenia say that money supply grew 25.3% versus April 2011 and 2.7% versus December 2011.
In the structure of money supply, cash circulating outside the Central Bank grew 4.9% for April to 337.2 bln drams as of May 1 2012 (29.1% of total money supply). The growth versus April 2011 made up 18.2% amid 3.5% decline for 4 months of 2012.
The share of deposits in terms of the national currency (AMD) in total money supply was 28.1% or 326.2 bln drams (amid 0.7% decline for month, 5.2% growth versus Dec 2011 and 47.2% growth versus April 2011), with the share of currency deposits being 42.7% or 493.7 bln drams (amid 1.9% growth for the month, 5.6% growth versus Dec 2011 and 18.5% versus April 2011).
In the structure of internal assets, liabilities to the government proved at the negative level of 14.4 billion drams (down 36.4% for April, 74% versus April 2011 and 32% versus Dec 2011).
In addition, the share of economy was 1,5 trillion drams (up 3% for April, 107% for 4 months of 2012 and 34.6% versus April 2011). The share of organizations was 856.5 billion drams (up 3% for April and versus early 2012 and 38% versus April 2011), the share of households was 567.6 bln drams (3% growth for April and versus Dec 2011, and 29.3% growth versus April 2011) and the share of non-commercial enterprises was 21.2 billion drams (up 3.5% for April and versus Dec 2011, and 60% versus April 2011).
