37,934 real estate transactions registered in Armenia in Q1 2012

ArmInfo. Some 37,934 real estate transactions were registered in Armenia in Q1 2012 - 8.8% fewer than in Q1 2011.

34.4% of the deals were carried out in Yerevan, 11.9% in Kotayk region, 8.1% in Gegarkunik region. The most passive region was Vayots Dzor - 2.5% of all deals.

Alienation made up for 27% of the deals, succession for 13%, pledging for 11%.

According to Armenia's Real Estate Cadastre Committee, in Q1 2012 the number of transactions for buying/selling flats declined by 13.8% in Yerevan and by 12.8% in the regions.

The buying-selling of private houses in Yerevan declined by 20.8%, in the regions by 21.8%.
