Share of cashing cards through ATMs is 74% at plastic card market of Armenia


Arminfo. The share of the cashing cards through ATMs is 73,96% at the plastic card market of Armenia. As press-service of Armenian Card reported, the cash operations on cards through POS-terminals is the second with a share 14,95%. The share of the non-cash operations in total volume of plastic transactions was 11,09%, the great part of which was provided POS-terminals (9,35%).

As of 1 June 2012, the number of POS-terminals acting in the Armenian Card system amounted to 5263, which is by 35,4% more than at the same period of 2011. In particular, 518 POS- terminals were located at cash giving points. There were 889 ATMs. All of them serve ArCa cards. 802 out of all the ATMs serve to MasterCard, and 792 - also serve to Visa cards.
