Ameriabank introduces co-branding card for Yerevan City customers


ArmInfo. Ameriabank and Yerevan City trade chain have introduced a co-branding bonus card with a credit line.

The press service of Ameriabank reports that Yerevan City customers having bonus cards may change them for ArCa cards.

Over 10,000 co-branding cards are supposed to be issued by the end of this year.

There are two types of cards: a card with no annual charge, a 150,000 AMD credit line and 16% interest rate and a card with a 400 AMD monthly charge, a 1,000,000 AMD credit line, 24% interest rate and a grace period.

Those wishing to get a card with a bigger credit line should file a document specifying their monthly earnings. The cards will be valid for two years and will offer the same bonuses as Yerevan City's bonus cards.

Those wishing to have the card may apply to Ameriabank pavilions in Yerevan City supermarkets.

According to ArmInfo's Armenian Banks in Card Business survey, as of Apr 1 2012 Ameriabank had 31,000 active plastic cards: 3,000 ArCa cards, 22,0000 Visas and 6,000 MasterCards. That was 61.2% more than on Apr 1 2011. In 2011 Ameriabank's card turnover totaled 52bln AMD - 83% more than a year before. As of Apr 1 2012 the bank had 550 own POS- terminals (against 269 on Apr 1 2011) and 86 ATMs (against 17 a year before).
