Capital investments in construction for Jan-May 2012 in Armenia - $95 mln
ArmInfo. The World Bank delivered credits in construction in Armenia for Jan-May 2012 by 5,7 bln drams ($14.6 mln) or 75,8% out of all international credit investments in the construction sector of Armenia over the reported period, amounted to 7.5 bln drams ($19.1 mln). The investment volumes of the WB in the construction sector of Armenia grew by 8,8% . Only in May the WB directed 1 bln ($2.6 mln) credits, which is by 17% less than the indicator of the same period of 2011.
The National Statistical Service of Armenia told ArmInfo the share of capital investments in construction in Armenia for Jan-May 2012 amounted to 94.5 bln drams ($241.7 mln), which was by 8% less versus the same period of 2011.
The state budget invested 14.5 billion drams ($37.1 million, down 6.4% versus Jan-May 2011) in capital construction or 15.4% of total expenses. Organizations spent 48.5 billion drams ($124 million, down 11.5%) on capital construction or 51.3% of total investments in the sphere in Armenia. The population spent 18.8 billion drams ($48 million, up 48.5%) or 19.9% of total investments in the sphere. EBRD provided 659.8 mln drams ($1.7 million, up 5,2 times) or 0.7% of total, KfW - 266.8 mln drams (down 47,6% or 0,3% of total), Hayastan All Armenian Fund - 209.3 mln drams (up 49,6% or 0,2% of total), UN - 20.8 mln drams (up 2,1 times). Asian Development Bank provided 223.3 million drams (down 73,7% or 0.3% of total investment in this sphere.
