In 2012 transfers via Anelik system in Armenia may be no less than in 2011 - 1 bln USD even in case of possible second crisis wave

Even in case of a possible second crisis wave, in 2012 the volume of the transfers via Anelik system in Armenia may be no less than in 2011, Armen Arevyan, Head of the Press Service of Anelik Bank, told ArmInfo. He recalled that in 2011 the volume of money transfers via Anelik was 1 bln USD (13% y-o-y growth).
"Money transfers to Armenia via Anelik system are growing not only in Anelik Bank, but also in the other correspondent banks of this system. These banks have fixed growth not only in the volume, but also in the quantity of transactions", he said.
To note, Anelik Bank was the first Armenian bank to create its own international money transfer system "Anelik" in 1997. The system operates in 500 banks of almost 100 countries.
