Average quarterly yield of government bonds in Armenia drops
ArmInfo. In June 2012 the average yield of government bonds in Armenia dropped.
The press service of the Central Bank of Armenia reports that on the primary market the average yield of government bonds with a period of less than one year made up 9%, on the inter-bank market the average repo rate made up 10.21%, on the stock exchange the average interest of interbank loans made up 9.6%.
In June 2012 AMD depreciated against USD by 4% to 414.6 AMD/1 USD, against EUR by 2.1% to 519.8 AMD/1 USD. Against RUR AMD appreciated by 2.2% to 12.6 AMD/1 USD.
AMD's depreciation against USD in May-June 2012 was due to revaluation of RUR and EUR and continued uncertainty over debt problems in Eurozone.
July 10 2012 the CB decided to keep its official rate unchanged at 8%.
