Loan-deposit interest rate spread was down from 7.3% to 7.1% for April 2012
ArmInfo. Interests on loans fell 0,3 points to 15.2% for April 2012, with interests on deposits falling 0,1 point to 8.1%. As a result, the loan-deposit interest rate spread was down from 7.3% to 7.1%. According to the monthly bulletin of the Central Bank of Armenia, interests on loans grew 0.6 points and interests on deposits grew 0,2 points in April 2012 versus April 2011, increasing the loan-deposit interest rate spread by 0,2 points.
Interest rates suffered decline as interests on both dollar and dram loans fell 0.4 points to 16.4% (up 0.6% versus April 2011) and 0,2 points to 14% (up 02 points versus April 2011), respectively. Dollar deposit rates fell 0,5 points to 5.8% (down 0,9 points versus April 2011) amid 0,2 points growth of interests on drams deposits to 10.3%.
By data of the Armenian Central Bank, interest rates of loans in AMD fell 0.56 points for May 2012 and 0.17 points versus the same period of 2011 to 18.45% as of June 1 2012. Interests on USD loans grew 0.19 points for May 2012 and 0.07 points versus the same period of 2011 to 9.15%.
