Over Q2 2012 individuals and legal entities in customer base of Armenian banks up 5.1% and 1.3% respectively
ArmInfo. By July 1 2012, the customer base of the Armenian banking system numbered 1413587 individuals and 70934 legal entities. According to the preliminary data of the Central Bank of Armenia (CBA), a total of 1484521 customers had 1772767 accounts in the Armenian banks, 1648200 of them were personal accounts and 124567 were corporate ones.
Over Q2 2012 the customer base grew by 5% or 70169 customers, and by 19% or 237750 customers versus Q2 2011. The number of individuals in the customer base rose by 5.1% or 69241 customers, and the number of legal entities grew by 1.3% or 928 customers.
Within the period under review, the corporate and personal accounts in the Armenian banks dropped by 23.3% or 538852 accounts, and by 11% or 219476 accounts versus Q2 2011. The corporate accounts declined by 15.4% or 22713 accounts, and the personal ones - by 23.8% or 516139 accounts.
