ArmInfo. VTB Bank (Armenia) opened the renovated Arabkir branch in Azatutyan Ave. 20/37, Yerevan. The official ribbon cutting ceremony took place on July 25. Besides the repair in the reception room, the Bank took a number of measures aimed at optimizing the procedures connected with customer service, modernization and full technical re-equipment of work stations and the service area. The interior of the branch complies with the brand and corporate style of VTB Group.
Armenak Darbinyan, a member of the Board of the Central Bank of Armenia, highly estimated the activity of VTB Bank (Armenia). "The Bank's achievements over the past 5 years, particularly, the annual growth of the credit portfolio and the assets of the Bank by 30% and 40% respectively, as well as the fact that 70% of the Bank's credit portfolio falls on the real sector demonstrate that the Bank purposefully contributes to the development of economy and the financial market of Armenia", Darbinyan said.
For his part, Artak Khachatryan, Head of the Retail Business Development Division of VTB Bank (Armenia), said that the branch has a queue management system, separate service areas, individual customer service areas. In addition, the new branch has an opportunity to provide round-the-clock services concerning a wide range of banking transactions, which is a novelty for the banking system of Armenia. In particular, the branch has an ATM for cash withdrawal and book transfers, acceptance of utility payments. A terminal has been installed jointly with TelCell. The terminal not only provides the full range of services, but also can be used for transferring funds to the customers' accounts and repayment of loans (semiself- service mode). "By the end of the current year the Bank is going to reformat a number of key branches both in Yerevan and in the regions, which will improve the quality of customer service and, consequently, will enhance the customers' loyalty to the Bank", Khachatryan said.
Aram Azatyan, Executive Director of TelCell CJSC, pointed out that VTB Bank (Armenia) is the first Armenian bank that shifted part of the operations to the semiself-service mode on the base of payment terminals connected to the processing center of TelCell. "This allows saving the customers' time and enhancing the quality of customer service due to the automation of sale of the most demanded banking services, as well as reducing the queues and decreasing the burden of the tellers and the account managers", said Azatyan.
To note, VTB Bank (Armenia) CJSC became a participant in the international VTB Group in April 2004. VTB Bank OJSC, the second largest bank in Russia, owns 100% of the shares of VTB Bank (Armenia). The latter has the largest branch network in Armenia - 68 branches (15% of the total branch network of the banking sector), of which 24 are in Yerevan (13%), and 44 in the regions (19%).
