Over Q2 2012 gross international reserves of Armenia down 2.3% to $1719.2 mln
ArmInfo. Over Q2 2012 the gross foreign assets of Armenia declined by 2.3% or $40 mln to $1719.220 mln. As compared with the same period of 2011, this index dropped by 3.5%, the press service of the Central Bank of Armenia (CBA) reports.
In the structure of gross foreign assets, international reserves declined from $1759.216 mln to $1719.219 mln (3.5% y-o-y decline). The amount of Special Drawing Rights in the IMF grew by 9.2% to $59.613 mln (39.3 mln SDR). As compared to Q2 2011, SDR was up over threefold.
Over Q2 2012 the net foreign assets were down 1.6% or by $16.3 mln to $973.025 mln (8.7% y-o-y decline).
To note, the share of gold in the gross international reserves was zeroed in December 2003. As of 1 January 2012, the gross foreign assets of Armenia totaled $1932.477 mln. In their structure, international reserves totaled $1932.477 mln. As of 1 Jan 2012, SDR in the IMF totaled $57.033 mln (37.148 mln SDR), and the net foreign assets - $1178.344 mln.
