Armenian dram revaluates against US dollar 0.5% in Sept 2012 amid 9.8% year over year devaluation
ArmInfo. The Armenian national dram devaluated against US dollar 9,8% in Sept 2012 versus Sept 2011, the National Statistical Service reports. The exchange rate made up 408.77AMD/US$1 in Sept 2012 versus 372.28AMD/US$1 in Sept 2011.
The source reports 0.5% growth of consumer prices in Sept 2012 versus Aug 2012 amid 0.5% revaluation of the AMD against USD. In January-September 2012 deflation totaled 1.5%, amid 6.7% devaluation of AMD versus USD. For comparison, inflation totaled 0.6% in Jan-Sept 2011 amid 3.3% devaluation of AMD against USD. In Sept 2011 versus Aug 2011 inflation totaled 0.8%, with the AMD devaluating against USD 1.4%.
