Armenian dram revaluates against US dollar 0.5% in Oct 2012 amid 8% year over year devaluation
ArmInfo. The Armenian national dram devaluated against US dollar 8% in Oct 2012 versus Oct 2011, the National Statistical Service reports. The exchange rate made up 406.69AMD/US$1 in Oct 2012 versus 376.69AMD/US$1 in Oct 2011.
The source reports 1.2% growth of consumer prices in Oct 2012 versus Sep 2012 amid 0.5% revaluation of the AMD against USD. In January-October 2012 deflation totaled 0.3%, amid 6.1% devaluation of AMD against USD. For comparison, inflation totaled 0.9% in Jan-Oct 2011 amid 4.5% devaluation of AMD against USD. In Oct 2011 versus Sept 2011 inflation totaled 0.3%, with the AMD devaluating against USD 1.1%.
