New emission $5-7 mln to appear at currency bond market of Armenia


Arminfo. New emission $5-7 mln will appear at the currency bond market of Armenia till the end of 2013, director general of NASDAQ OMX Armenia, Konstantin Saroyan, said and added that at present 2 companies have already applied to Central Bank to register the prospectus for bond issue. Saroyan preferred not to name these companies, saying that one of them represents the construction sector and another one - retail trade sector.

He also emphasized that from now on the emitters have got an opportunity to make REPO-contracts with foreign currency bonds as well. "All our finance companies, including banks, credit companies and insurance companies will get a good opportunity of an alternative investing of their free resources", - he said and added that profitability of this instrument is higher than that of the banking deposit. If profitability of a short-term deposits (45-60 days) is 2,5-3%, of REPO-contracts (with circulation term 1-2 weeks) - is about 4%.
