12 banks among top 100 largest taxpayers of Armenia over Jan-Sept 2012
ArmInfo. 12 banks found themselves among the top hundred taxpayers of Armenia over Jan-Sept 2012. The largest taxpayers of them are ACBA-Credit Agricole Bank, HSBC Bank Armenia, Ameriabank, VTB Bank (Armenia) and ArmBusinessBank.
According to the Armenian State Revenue Committee, ACBA Credit Agricole is in the lead. It paid 3.002 bln AMD to the state budget, with 2.933 bln AMD of this amount being profit and income taxes (20th position on the total list). HSBC Bank Armenia ranks next (27th position, 2.251 bln AMD, with 2.001 bln AMD of this amount being profit and income taxes). Ameriabank held the 30th position with 2.162 bln AMD, with 2.029 bln AMD of it being profit and income taxes. VTB Bank Armenia held the 40th place with 1.714 bln AMD, of which 1.534 bln AMD was income and profit taxes. ArmBusinessBank held the 48th position with 1.425 bln AMD, of which 1.292 bln AMD was income and profit taxes.
The following Armenian banks have also found themselves among the top hundred taxpayers: Ardshininvestbank (53rd place - 1.239 bln AMD, with 1.180 mln AMD of it being income and profit taxes), Unibank (60th position - 1.114 bln AMD, of which 1.133 bln AMD was profit and income taxes), ARARATBANK (63rd position - 1.096 bln AMD, with 939 mln AMD of this amount being income and profit taxes), INECOBANK (67th place - 997.5 mln AMD, with 974.5 mln AMD of this amount being income and profit taxes), Mellat Bank (77th position - 888.8 mln AMD, of which 884.4 mln AMD was profit and income taxes), Areximbank-Gazprombank Group (79th position - 869.5 mln AMD, with 754.3 mln AMD of this amount being profit and income taxes), Armeconombank (98th place - 669.3 mln AMD, with 609.5 mln AMD being profit and income taxes), Converse Bank (100th position - 666.6 mln AMD, including 600.7 mln AMD profit and income taxes).
The top 200 taxpayers of Armenia include Prometey Bank (110th position - 604.3 mln AMD, including 590.1 mln AMD profit and income taxes), Anelik Bank (131st place - 489.8 mln AMD, including 432.1 mln AMD profit and income taxes), ArmSwissBank (167th position - 405.6 mln AMD, including 387.9 mln AMD profit and income taxes), ProCredit Bank (182nd position - 372.5 mln AMD, including 291.7 mln AMD income and profit taxes), Armenian Development Bank (190th position - 350.8 mln AMD, including 340.8 mln AMD profit and income taxes).
In the meantime, the top 1000 largest taxpayers of Armenia include Byblos Bank Armenia (225th position - 294.9 mln AMD, including 279.5 mln AMD income and profit taxes), BTA Bank (739th position - 80.5 mln AMD, including 75.6 mln AMD profit and income taxes), Artsakhbank (888th place - 65.1 mln AMD, including 62.1 mln AMD profit and income taxes).
According to the Ranking of Armenian Banks by the Agency of Rating Marketing Information (ArmInfo), over Jan-Sept 2012 the top five leaders in the banking system in terms of accumulated profit were HSBC Bank Armenia - 15.8 bln AMD, Ardshininvestbank - 15.2 bln AMD, VTB Bank (Armenia) -11.8 bln AMD, Ameriabank - 10.4 bln AMD, ACBA-Credit Agricole Bank - 9.4 bln AMD.
