Plastic transactions up 20.1% to 59.6 bln AMD over October 2012
ArmInfo. Over Oct 2012 the total volume of plastic transactions in the Armenian Card system grew by 20.1% to 59.6 bln AMD. Armenian Card told ArmInfo that the share of cash transactions made up 53.2 bln AMD (up 20.3% versus Sept 2012), and non-cash transactions - 6.4 bln AMD (18.3% growth versus Sept 2012).
The source says that the biggest share of transactions fell on ArCa cards - 45%, or 26.8 bln AMD (25.9% growth over Oct 2012), the share of Visa cards in the total volume of plastic transactions made up 33.2%, or 19.8 bln AMD (12.5% growth), and the share of MasterCards - 13.1 bln AMD (20.8% growth).
The average amount of a transaction was 47.9 thsd AMD (54 thsd AMD for Visa cards, 45.4 thsd AMD for MasterCards, and 44.9 thsd AMD for ArCa cards).
