Yuri Gusev: Capital deficiency is the main threat to development of Armenian banking system in 2013


ArmInfo. Capital deficiency is the main threat to development of the Armenian banking system in 2013, Yuri Gusev, Director General, Chairman of the Directorate of VTB Bank (Armenia), said at today's press conference.

The capital deficiency of the banks is one of the main factors hindering the development of the banking system in 2013, because most of the significant players of this sector are already running short of capital.

Gusev said that VTB Bank will never allow capital deficiency in its affiliates.

Gusev said that VTB Bank (Armenia) will always have enough capital for developing its retail and corporate activities, but should it run short of capital, it will be able to apply to VTB Group.
