69.9% of transactions on Armenian plastic card market are cash withdrawals through ATMs


ArmInfo. 69.9% of transactions on Armenia's plastic card market are cash withdrawals through ATMs. 18.55% are POS- terminal transactions, 11.53% non-cash operations.

According to Armenian Card, as of Dec 1 2012, the number of POS- terminals in the Armenian Card system was 5,979 (30.1% y-o-y growth), the number of ATMs 950 (18% y-o-y growth). All the ATMs accept local ArCa cards, 868 ATMs accept Visa cards, 862 ATMs MasterCards.
