Armenia's international reserves dropped by 11% to 1739.058 mln USD over year
ArmInfo. Over Q3 2012 the gross foreign assets of Armenia declined by 1.1% or $19.8 mln to $1739.058 mln. As compared with the same period of 2011, this index dropped by 11%, the press service of the Central Bank of Armenia (CBA) reports.
In the structure of gross foreign assets, international reserves grew from $1719.219 mln to $1739.058 mln (11% y-o-y decline). The amount of Special Drawing Rights in the IMF declined 9-fold to $6.7 mln (4.352 mln SDR). As compared to Q3 2011, SDR was up over twofold.
Over Q3 2012 the net foreign assets were down 1.6% or by $16.3 mln to $1.008 mln (3.6% y-o-y growth).
To note, the share of gold in the gross international reserves was zeroed in December 2003. As of 1 January 2012, the gross foreign assets of Armenia totaled $1932.477 mln. In their structure, international reserves totaled $1932.477 mln. As of 1 Jan 2012, SDR in the IMF totaled $57.033 mln (37.148 mln SDR), and the net foreign assets - $1178.344 mln.
