In Q4 2012 economic activity index in Armenia rose from 99.4% to 106.6%, and business climate index - from 94.2% to 96.2%
ArmInfo. In Q4 2012 as compared with Q3 2012 economic activity index in Armenia rose from 99.4% to 106.6%, as compared with Q4 2011 it rose to 107.1%.
There was growing activity in construction sector (113.3%), trade sector (110.9%) and services (106.8%). In the meantime, in the industrial sector the economic activity index was fixed at 94.1%.
The press service of the Central Bank of Armenia reports that in Q4 2012 as compared with Q3 2012 business climate index grew from 94.2% to 96.2%, as compared with Q4 2011 it dropped to 98.3% due to low expectations in construction (to 94.3%) and services (to 97.2%).
Business climate index was growing in the trade sector (101.9% in Q4 2012 versus Q4 2011) amid the economic activity growth to 110.9%. In industrial sector the business climate index was fixed at 95.2% in Q4 2012 versus Q3 2012 and at 98.8% versus Q4 2011.
The survey has been held since 2005 among companies operating in industry, construction, trade and services and is based on the methodologies of Conference Board (US) and IFO (Germany).
