Central Bank of Armenia stops activities of Blizko and Contact
ArmInfo. The Central Bank of Armenia has decided to stop the activities of Russian money remittance systems Blizko and Contact in the country.
The press service of the CB reports that an inspection has shown that the operators of the systems have repeatedly prevented a number of local banks from using their networks, which might be a threat to the stability, liquidity and solvency of Armenia's financial sector.
To remind, on Aug 22 2008 the CB cancelled the licenses of Western Union, on July 11 2011 Lider, on Sept 6 2012 Migom and on Oct 9 2012 Zolotaya Korona.
