Plastic transactions up 41.9% to 80.8 bln AMD for Dec 2012
<>ArmInfo. Plastic card transactions in the Armenian Card system grew 41.9% to 80.8 bln AMD for Dec 2012. Armenian Card told ArmInfo that the share of cash transactions in total made up 73 bln AMD (up 43.3% versus Nov 2012), and non-cash transactions - 7.8 bln AMD (29.9% growth versus Dec 2012).
The source says that the share of transactions through ArCa cards was the biggest - 45.3%, or 36.6 bln AMD (53.2% growth versus Nov 2012), the share of Visa cards in the total volume of plastic transactions made up 34.2%, or 27.6 bln AMD (36.7% growth for Dec), and the share of MasterCards was 20.5% or 16.6 bln AMD (28.9% decline).
The average amount of a transaction was 52.5 thsd AMD (60 thsd AMD for Visa cards, 51 thsd AMD for MasterCards, and 48.5 thsd AMD for ArCa cards).
