In 2012 the amount of noncash plastic card transactions in Armenia grew by 11%


ArmInfo. In 2012 the amount of noncash plastic card transactions in Armenia grew by 11%. According to Armenian Card, 750.7mln AMD was transferred from card to card (36.7% more than in 2011) and 602.3mln AMD through ATMs and internet (10% less than a year before).

As of Jan 1 2013 there were over 1mln active cards in Armenia (32% more than on Jan 1 2012), 960 ATMs against 837 on Jan 1 2012 and 6,068 POS-terminals (28% growth), with 5,508 of them located in shops and service centers.
