Money supply in Armenia up 6.2% for Q4 2012
ArmInfo. Money supply in Armenia grew by 6.2% to 1,346.4 bln AMD ($3.336 bln) over Q4 2012 and by 3.7% over Dec 2012. As compared to Dec 2011, money supply grew by 3.5%.
Preliminary data of the Armenian Central Bank provided to ArmInfo by the National Statistical Service of Armenia say that the AMD supply amounted to 710.5 bln AMD ($1.760 bln), having grown by 3.1% over Q4 2012 (7.7% y-o-y growth, no changes over Dec 2012).
The AMD cash circulated out of the banking system grew by 8% over Q4 2012 (amid 6.4% growth over Dec 2012 and 9.9% y-o-y growth) and totaled 38 bln AMD (28.5% of the money supply).
The share of deposits in terms of the Armenian dram in the total money supply was 26.3%, or 353.9 billion drams. The share of foreign deposits was 45.2%, or 608.4 billion drams.
External assets were fixed at negative 185 bln AMD, and internal assets totaled 1,531.4 bln AMD.
The share of call liabilities in deposits in national currency was 61.7% or 105.1 billion drams (up 3.6% in July) and the share of time deposits was 38.3% or 65.1 billion drams (up 2.5% in July).
In the structure of internal assets, liabilities to the government totaled 9.4 billion drams. The share of economy was 1,693.7 billion drams. The share of organizations was 986 billion drams, the share of households was 651.5 billiob drams, and the share of non- commercial enterprises was 32.7 billion drams.
