In Q4 2012 bank deposits in Armenia grew by 4%
ArmInfo. In Q4 2012 bank deposits in Armenia grew by 4% to 1.212tln AMD ($3bln). In 2012 the index grew by 27.6%.
30.7% of all deposits or 366.7bln AMD ($908.5mln) were AMD deposits – 7.9% growth in Q4 2012 and 19% growth in 2012. 69.8% or 845.4bln AMD were foreign exchange deposits ($2.094bln) – 2.7% growth and 27.8% growth, respectively.
21.7% of all deposits or 262.4bln AMD were non-resident deposits (2.8% drop in Q4 2012 and 26.5% growth in 2012). 78.3% or 949.7bln AMD were resident deposits (6.1% growth and 24.6% growth, respectively).
32.5% of resident deposits or 308.2bln AMD were call deposits, 67.5% or 641.6bln AMD time deposits.
In Q4 2012 AMD deposit rates grew by 0.28% to 10.06%. In 2012 they dropped by 0.23%.
