The share of overdue credits in the credit portfolio of Armenian banks dropped by 26,2% for 4Q 2012 thanks to reduction of controlled and problem credits

The share of the overdue credits in the credit portfolio of Armenian banks dropped by 26,2% for 4Q 2012 thanks to reduction of controlled and problem credits, whereas the standard credits grew by 5,9%. In particular, the controlled credits reduced by 40,6%, and the problem ones - by 21%, while the non-standard ones grew by 4,2%. In the structure of the credit portfolio of the banks the share of the overdue credits for the reported quarter reduced from 4,9% to 3,5%,and the share of the standard credits grew from 95,1% up to 96,5%.
As press-service of Armenian Central Bank reported, as of 1 January 2013, the standard credits amounted to 1.648 trillion drams, the controlled - 26.9 bln drams and the non-standard - 19.4 bln drams and the problem credits - 13 bln drams. The share of the "controlled" credits reduced from 2,8% to 1,6% versus 3Q 2012, and of "the problem" ones - from 1% to 0.8%, and the share if the "non-standard" credits remained at the level 1,1%.
In general, the credits and accounts receivables, classified by the risk groups, grew by 4,4% for the 4Q 2012, and as of 1 January 2013, amounted to 1.7 trillion drams ($4.2 bln)
