In 2012 Armenia's banking system registered 42.4bln AMD net profit


Arminfo. In 2012 the revenues of Armenia's banking system made up 412.7bln AMD or $1bln, the expenses 358.2bln AMD or $887.6mln, the profit 54.5bln AMD or $1635mln, the net profit 42.4bln AMD or $105mln.

According to the press service of the Central Bank of Armenia, during the same period interest revenues made up 226bln AMD ($560mln) or 54.8% of all revenues, non-interest revenues 56.7bln AMD ($140.5mln) or 13.7%, interest expenses 111.2bln AMD ($275.5mln) or 31% of all expenses, non-interest expenses 97.1bln AMD ($240.6mln) or 27.1%.

As of Jan 1 2013 there were 22 banks with 479 branches in Armenia.
