Total capital of Armenian credit companies up 6.1% in Q4 2012
ArmInfo. Over Q4 2012 the total capital of the Armenian credit companies grew by 6.1% to 62.9 bln AMD ($156 mln). In the structure of the total capital the authorized fund was up 5.4% to 48.3 bln AMD ($119.6 mln).
The Central Bank of Armenia reports that the share of foreign capital in the authorized fund dropped by 0.1% to 16 bln AMD ($39.6 mln), and the main reserves rose by 0.1% to 1.5 mln AMD ($3.7 mln).
Over Q4 2012 the net profit of the Armenian credit companies amounted to 553 bln AMD. The accumulated profit totaled 4.6 bln AMD ($11.4 mln), having dropped by 26.7% over Q4 2012.
As of 1 Jan 2013, there were 32 credit companies and 100 branches in Armenia. There are 28 UCOs, 3 leasing companies and 1 credit union. Four of the UCOs specialize in mortgage lending - First Mortgage Company, Fides, National Mortgage Company and Affordable Housing for Young Families.
