In Jan 2013 volume of plastic card transactions in Armenia made up 38.5bln AMD


ArmInfo. In Jan 2013 as compared with Jan 2012 the volume of plastic card transactions in Armenia grew by 16.4% to 38.5bln AMD.

Armenian Card reports that cash transactions therein made up 33.8bln AMD (15% annual growth), noncash ones 4.6bln AMD (35.9% growth).

39% of all transactions or 15bln AMD were ArCa transactions (5.3% more than in Jan 2012), 37.2% or 14.3bln AMD Visa transactions (21% growth), 23.7% or 9.1bln AMD MasterCard transactions (31.6% growth).

In Jan 2013 the average amount of one plastic card transaction was 40,300 AMD. For Visas it was 50,300 AMD, for MasterCards 38,400 AMD, for ArCas 34,900 AMD.
