In Q1 2013 money base in Armenia dropped by 5.7%
ArmInfo. In Q1 2013 money base in Armenia dropped by 5.7% to $1.5bln or 645bln AMD. In Mar 2013 alone it dropped by 5.1%, as compared with Q1 2013 it grew by 16.5%.
The National Statistical Service of Armenia reports that non CB cash made up 395.6bln AMD or 61.3% of money base (10% less than in Q4 2012, 0.5% less than in Feb 2013 and 9.4% more than in Q1 2012), compulsory AMD reserves 162bln AMD or 25% (+4.8%, -11.7% and +5.9%, respectively), compulsory foreign exchange reserves 93bln AMD or 12.6% (+0.4%, -9.4% and 3 times more than in Q1 2012).
External reserves grew by 3.7% as compared with Jan 2013 and by 0.03% as compared with Feb 2012, internal reserves by 3.4% and 80.3%, respectively, to 261.5bln AMD.
