VTB Bank (Armenia) and Visa launch the 3rd Summer with VTB campaign
ArmInfo. VTB Bank (Armenia) and Visa have launched the 3rd Summer with VTB campaign, aimed at popularizing Visa transactions among the bank's customers and improving their financial competence in using plastic cards.
The campaign will last till Sept 1 2013. As a result, the 100 most active cardholders will take part in a draw of 49 certificates for the purchase of domestic appliances and 50 certificates for the use of VTB Bank (Armenia)'s products (-1% loan or %1 deposit). The grand prix is a trip for two to Italy.
During the campaign all of the bank's customers will get bonus points for each use of a Visa card (up to 50 points per transaction). "As one of the leading banks in Armenia, we seek not only to provide our customers with modern and reliable banking products and services but also to popularize plastic cards among them by making them aware of all the opportunities this product can offer. Similar campaigns in 2011 and 2012 proved that our customers give increasingly higher preference to Visa cards," says CEO of VTB Bank (Armenia) Yuri Gusev.
Visa's Country Manager for the Caucasus Irina Kamkhadze said that Armenia's non-cash transaction sector is stably growing. "A Moody's survey has shown that a 1% increase in non-cash transactions adds 0.16% to GDP growth," she said.
According to ArmInfo's Armenian Banks in Card Business bulletin, VTB Bank (Armenia) has the biggest numbers of plastic cards and active Visa cards. As of Apr 2013 it had over 232,000 Visa cards (44% more than in 2011 and twice as many as in 2010). 55% of the cards are payroll cards, 26% pension cards.
