ArCa Classic cardholders to get new opportunities


ArmInfo. Anelik Bank has expanded the opportunities of ArCa Classic cardholders under the "Careful" campaign. The press service of the Bank has told ArmInfo that starting from August 2, 2013, all the ArCa Classic cardholders can enjoy 5-8% discounts (against the former 5%) at all the Gedeon Richter drugstores.

The source says that the number of the stores included in the campaign has already totaled almost 500, and they offer up to 50% discounts. The cards are also provided to the pensioners free of charge, and the Bank transfers 5% p.a. to their positive balance. For the rest of the citizens, the annual service of ArCa Classic cards costs 2000 AMD.

According to the analytical review "Armenian Banks in Card Business" by the Agency of Rating Marketing Information (ArmInfo), by the total number of its active cards, Anelik Bank is among the top ten leaders with over 49 thsd cards, with about 24 thsd of them being Visa cards, over 14 thsd local ArCa cards. The share of salary projects in the total number of the Bank's active cards is more than 74%. In 2012 the transactions with Anelik Bank's cards increased by 14% to over 15 bln AMD. By the number of its POS terminals, Anelik Bank is among the top three leaders with 509 POS terminals. As of 1 April 2013, the Bank had 47 ATMs, 40 of them in Yerevan. It should be noted that Anelik Bank was the first Armenian bank to simultaneously issue and serve Visa and MasterCard international cards. Before that the Bank issued and served local ArCa cards.

To note, Anelik Bank CJSC has been operating since 1996. The shareholders of the Bank are CreditBank S.A.L. (Lebanon) with an 89.95% stake and Chairman of Anelik Bank's Board Samvel Chzmachyan with a 10.05% stake.
