Ameriabank introduces "I am the Future of Artsakh" plastic card
ArmInfo. Ameriabank's Stepanakert branch has introduced "I am the Future of Artsakh" plastic card, Chairman of the Management Board-General Director of Ameriabank Artak Hanesyan said during the opening of the new office of the branch on Sunday.
"This product will enlarge our retail portfolio in Nagorno- Karabakh. For the time being its share in the Stepanakert branch's total portfolio is just 20%," Hanesyan said.
He said that the card will offer its holders soft terms and no service fee for the first year. It can be held by both individual and corporate customers.
For individual holders the preferences will be as follows: the loan interest will be 1% lower, the deposit interest 1% higher than the bank's regular rates, there will be a 50% discount for a safety deposit box.
To corporate holders the card will offer preferential payroll programs, free Visa Electron/Maestro Cirrus and Visa Cassic/MasterCard Standard for attracting more than 25 employees, an account with no fee charged during the first year and a customs card with a 1% discount.
According to ArmInfo's Armenian Banks in Card Business bulletin, as of Apr 1 2013 Ameriabank had almost 40,000 active cards (mostly Visa and MasterCards). The share of payroll cards was 34%. In 2012 the bank's plastic card transactions totaled 73bln AMD. As of Apr 1 2013 Ameriabank had 93 ATMs (71 in Yerevan) and 602 POS terminals.
