VTB Bank (Armenia) joins MasterCard system
ArmInfo. VTB Bank (Armenia) has joined the MasterCard system as an issuer and acquirer.
The press service of VTB Bank (Armenia) reports that the bank offers its customers several categories of multi-currency cards: Cirrus/Maestro, MasterCard Standard and Gold
The cards are accepted all over Armenia and abroad.
Such a card allows its holder to have accounts in AMD, USD, RUR and EUR and to replenish them from almost 900 TelCell terminals all over Armenia. The holders will also enjoy the opportunity to quickly open a credit line.
"Our decision to join the MasterCard system reflects our wish to stimulate noncash transactions in Armenia. This allows us to offer our customers a wide spectrum of services. Our card programs are based on the best experience of western countries," says CEO of VTB Bank (Armenia) Yuri Gusev.
The cards can be acquired in all of the bank's branches starting from Sept 28 and will be accepted starting from mid Oct. Since 2003 VTB Bank (Armenia) has been full member of the Visa International system, with almost 280,000 holders.
