RESO insurance company collects the major part of premiums in health insurance
ArmInfo. In Jan-June 2013 RESO collected the major part of premiums in health insurance.
According to the Ranking of Insurance Companies of Armenia by the Agency of Rating Marketing Information (ArmInfo), RESO's portfolio of premiums (in the health insurance segment) totaled 2.7 bln AMD by the end of the first half of 2013 (up 18% as compared with the same period of 2012). The amount of RESO's payouts in this segment totaled 646 mln AMD. In Jan-June 2013 the company signed 33327 contracts on health insurance.
ArmInfo's ranking says that in Jan-June 2013 the company's premiums totaled 4.3 bln AMD (almost 10% y-o-y growth), and payouts amounted to 1.4 bln AMD (over 2-fold y-o-y growth). By 1 July 2013 the company's assets amounted to 10.1 bln AMD (80.2% y-o-y growth, 23.7% growth over Q2 2013).
To recall, the founder of RESO Insurance is RESO-Garantia, one of the largest insurance companies in Russia. The Armenian subsidiary of the Russian insurance company entered the market in November 2008. In June 2013 RESO was declared as the Best Insurance Company of the Year in the health insurance segment.
