ArmInfo. Ameriabank launches a new promotional campaign: the more non-cash operations the higher credit line on preferential terms, the Bank's press-service told ArmInfo. Such campaigns aim to boost non-cash operations.
In addition, the customers that will acquire Ameriabank's payment card within the shortest period of time will get an opportunity to use some additional privileges: free service of the card until the end of the current year (except for Visa Infinite card package and cards) and no interest payments for the credit line until the end of the current year.
According to the source, new cardholders will get an opportunity to take a loan without any additional documents if they have positive credit history and make at least 3 non-cash operations per month. The maximum loan size is 1 million drams. As for the existing cardholders, the Bank will open a new credit line for them on the same terms (at least 1 million drams) or increase the limits of current loans.
Ameriabank says plastic card transactions for 9 months of 2013 grew 20% with the number of transactions growing nearly 23%. The number of active cards grew 25% versus the same period of 2012. To boost non-cash operations, Ameriabank is increasing the number of POS-terminals. Transactions via POS-terminals grew 36%. The number of the given category of operations grew nearly 30% for the period under review.
Ameriabank CJSC is a universal bank offering corporate, investment and retail banking services in a comprehensive package of banking solutions. Ameria Group CY Ltd. became the majority shareholder of Ameriabank with 99.99% shares in Nov 2011.
According to the Financial Rating of Armenian Banks prepared by ArmInfo News Agency, Ameriabank was on the 3rd position in the local banking system for 9 months of 2013 with 9.2 bln drams or 5.8% of total credit portfolio amid 28.5% growth for Jan-Sept 2013.
