American Express Cards celebrating three years in Armenia
ArmInfo. Three years ago ACBA-Credit Agricole Bank issued the first American Express Gold Card in Armenia in partnership with American Express, a prestigious global brand with over 150 years of history.
The press service of ACBA-Credit Agricole Bank reports that the bank is the exclusive issuer of American Express-branded Cards in Armenia as well as the exclusive acquirer of merchants onto the American Express Network in the country.
The bank currently issues two American Express-branded Cards. The first is the American Express Gold Card, which provides Cardmembers with a wide spectrum of exclusive features and benefits associated with the American Express brand. This includes comprehensive travel and purchase protection insurances, fraud insurance and roadside assistance. Cardmembers can also benefit from exclusive deals and offers at international and local merchants through American Express Selects.
The Armenian market has benefited from the partnership with American Express, as it supported the development of competition in the card business, ultimately benefiting local consumers. A year later, in September 2011, another new product was launched - American Express® Blue. The card aimed at aspirational Armenians, is a credit card that offers financial flexibility, world-class customer service and a variety of exciting rewards and benefits tailored to those with an energetic, creative way of life.
To celebrate the third anniversary of American Express in Armenia, American Express and Bank are introducing yet again special offers for their Cardmembers.
In the context of the Membership Rewards, all cardholders of the American Express Gold card, as well as those Cardmembers who purchase a card in the period from 1st November 2013 to 31st January 2014, will have a unique opportunity to win 40,000 MR points, an equivalent to the cost of one airfare ticket Yerevan-Paris-Yerevan.
Also, the Bank is introducing a new application process for the American Express Blue Card, on the 11th of November this year, allowing Cardmembers to get a new card in less than 72 hours, requiring only documentation and guarantors information.
In addition, the Bank offers its customers a choice of card fee payment - either monthly or annually. Today the annual fee for American Express Gold card is AMD 5000 per month or 50 000 AMD annually. The annual fee for American Express Blue is 1500 AMD or AMD 15000 respectively.
