Deposits in terms of national dram in total deposits with local banks keep growing for over 3months already
ArmInfo. The deposits with Armenians banks totaled 1.468 trillion drams as of Dec 1 2013, with a 0.7% growth for November and 22.2% growth versus Dec 1 2012.
By data of the Armenian Central Bank, the share of deposits in terms of the Armenian dram (AMD) in total amounted to 446.7 bln drams or 30.4% in Nov 2013 with a 3.8% growth for Nov and 24% year-over-year growth. The share of foreign currency deposits in total made up 69.6% or 1.021 trillion drams with a 0.5% decline for Nov and 21.4% year-over-year growth. The share of AMD deposits in total keeps growing for already the third month in succession. In Sept 2013 the dram deposits to foreign currency deposit ratio was 29%-71%, while in Oct 2013 this ratio was 29.5% - 70.5%, respectively.
According to the source, the share of deposits of non-residents in total deposits with banks made up 24.6% or 360.6 bln drams. The given indicator fell 0.9% for Nov and grew 28.5% versus Nov 2012. The share of deposits of residents totaled 75.4% or 1.107 trillion drams with a 1.3% growth for Nov and 20.3% year-over-year growth. B
The share of call liabilities in the deposits of residents was 30% or 332.5 bln drams, with the share of time deposits being 70% or 774.7 bln drams. Call liabilities grew 1.5% for Nov and 13.4% versus Nov 2012. Dynamics of growth of time deposits was as follows: 1.2% for Nov. 23.5% versus Nov 2012. The exchange rate of the Armenian dram and the US dollar for Nov 29 2013 made up 403.91 AMD/1USD.
