In Jan-Nov 2013 mortgage lending in Armenia grew by 13% to 160.9bln AMD


ArmInfo. In Jan-Nov 2013 mortgage lending in Armenia grew by 13% to 160.9bln AMD or 8.4% of total lending. In Nov 2013 the index grew by 1%.

Almost 88% of all mortgage loans or 141bln AMD were issued by banks (12.2% growth in Jan-Nov 2013 and 1% growth in Nov 2013), 12% or 19.8bln AMD by credit companies (16.4% growth in Jan-Nov 2013 and 0.6% growth in Nov 2013).

Some 15% of the mortgage loans issued by banks or 110.2bln AMD were issued for the acquisition of real property, 22.8bln AMD for repairs.

Credit companies lent 9.9bln AMD for real property acquisition and 9.6bln AMD for repairs.
