In Jan 2014 deposit and credit rates in Armenia grew by 0.4% and 0.3%, respectively
ArmInfo. In Jan 2014 deposit and credit rates in Armenia grew by 0.4% and 0.3% to respective 9.1% and 14.7%. As compared with Jan 2013 deposit rates dropped by 0.5%, while credit rates grew by 0.4%. As a result, the margin dropped by 0.4% in Jan 2014 and grew by 0.6% as compared with Jan 2013 to 5.6%.
The Central Bank of Armenia reports that the monthly growth in deposit rates was due to 0.8% rise in USD deposit rates to 7% (as compared with Jan 2013 the rates dropped by 1.2%). In Jan 2014 AMD deposit rates stayed unchanged at 11.2% (with a 0.2% growth registered as compared with Jan 2013). The growth in credit rates in Jan 2014 was due to a 0.3% rise in both USD and AMD credit rates to respective 13% and 16.5%.  As compared with Jan 2013 USD credit rates dropped by 0.1%, while AMD credit rates grew by 1%.
In Jan 2014 short-term and long-term deposit rates stayed unchanged at 8%. As compared with Jan 2013 they dropped by 0.9% and 2.2%, respectively. In Jan 2014 short-term credit rates grew by 0.5% to 15.1%, while long-term credit rates grew by 0.2% to 14.5%. As compared with Jan 2013 they grew by 0.3% and 0.6%, respectively. 
In Jan 2014 corporate deposit rates grew by 0.9% to 8.7%, while personal deposit rates stayed unchanged at 9.5%. As compared with Jan 2013 corporate deposit rates dropped by 1%, while personal deposits rates did not change. In Jan 2014 corporate credit rates grew by 0.4% to 12.5%. As compared with Jan 2013 they grew by 0.8%. Retail credit rates grew by 0.2% in Jan 2014 and stayed unchanged at 16.2% as compared with Jan 2013.
In Jan 2014 short-term government bond rates on the primary market dropped from 8.2% to 7.9% against 10.2% in Jan 2013, with mid-term government bonds rates having dropped from 10% to 9.5% against 14.8% a year before.
