In 2011-2013 contributions of Armenia's insurance companies grew by 2.4 times
ArmInfo. In 2011-2013 the contributions of Armenia's insurance companies grew by 2.4 times to 19.7bln AMD, while the premiums grew by 60%. In 2013 alone the contributions grew by 36%. Before the adoption of obligatory motor insurance, the contributions averaged 2bln AMD a year.
According to the Ranking of Insurance Companies of Armenia prepared by the Agency of Rating Marketing Information (ArmInfo), in 2013 Rosgosstrakh-Armenia paid most of all in contributions (6.3bln AMD), which is 48.6% more than in 2012. Garant Insurance paid least of all (541.5mln AMD).
Some 52% of all contributions or 10.3bln AMD were obligatory motor insurance contributions, 38% or 7.5bln AMD were health insurance contributions, 7.3% or 1.4bln AMD were CNC insurance contributions.
In 2013 Armenia's insurance companies registered a total of 200,037 insurance events: 140,656 health insurance, 55,105 obligatory motor insurance and 3,375 CNC insurance events.
